Cured-in-place drain relining liner installed inside a damaged pipe section

Trenchless Repair Specialist

Drain Relining Without Excavation

Restore a damaged section of pipe from the inside. Our drain relining service uses cured-in-place technology to create a new structural lining, without digging anything up.

A cracked or structurally weakened pipe doesn't always need replacing. Often, the pipe run itself is in the right place and largely sound — it's a specific section that's failed, whether from age, ground movement, or root damage. Replacing the whole run would mean unnecessary excavation for a problem that's actually quite localised.

Drain relining addresses that directly. Instead of removing and replacing the damaged pipe, we install a new lining inside the existing one, restoring its structural strength without excavating the ground above it. It's one of the core techniques behind our trenchless repair work.

What's included. Drain relining involves installing a new structural lining inside a damaged section of pipe, using cured-in-place pipe technology cured with blue light. The result is a new, structurally sound pipe wall formed inside the original one, without removing or replacing the existing pipework.

Why customers choose Flux Sewer for this. Relining is central to our trenchless service, and we've invested in the equipment and experience to do it properly. Rather than treating relining as a one-size-fits-all fix, we confirm suitability with a CCTV survey first, so you know it's the right method for your specific pipe before we quote for it.

How the process works. We begin with a CCTV survey to assess the condition and length of the damaged section. If relining is suitable, we provide a free quotation, prepare the liner to the correct dimensions, insert it into the pipe, and cure it in place. The result is a repaired, structurally restored pipe with no excavation required.

Who this service is for. Relining suits homeowners and property owners with a cracked or structurally damaged section of pipe who want to avoid excavation, as well as landlords managing older properties where full replacement would be disruptive and costly.

Our approach. As with all our trenchless work, we're upfront about whether relining is genuinely suitable for your drain. Every job includes a free quotation, and our team is fully insured throughout.

Key Benefits

  • Restores structural strength without excavation
  • Suitable for a wide range of pipe damage
  • Long-lasting, durable repair
  • Faster and less disruptive than full pipe replacement
  • Carried out using modern equipment and technology
  • Suitable for long, continuous pipe runs as well as shorter localised sections

How It Works

01

Survey & clean

The drain is surveyed and thoroughly cleaned to prepare the pipe surface for lining.

02

Liner installation

A resin-saturated liner is introduced into the damaged section of pipe.

03

Curing

The liner is cured in place, forming a strong, seamless new pipe wall within the existing structure.

04

Verification

A final CCTV pass confirms the relined section is sound and free-flowing.

What Our Customers Say

“Reliable, well-intentioned, friendly service, fair costs with specialist knowledge, up-to-date gear and technology equipment. Highly recommended.”

“I'm just finishing off a ten year refurb of my 1850s cottage, so I have some experience with engaging contractors to handle the jobs I can't/am not allowed to. It seems to be rare these days to find businesses that are at the same time competent, prompt, flexible, efficient, tidy and reasonably priced. I'm happy to say that this was the case with Flux Sewer – Ben and his team went out of their way to accommodate my wishes as they constructed a new drain for my property. I would unreservedly recommend them to anyone who needs any drainage work done.”

Rob Buttress

“I don't give out 5* lightly. Fantastic service from 2 honest blokes. Fast, efficient, and actually came in cheaper than the quote. Ben decided that some of the work I had asked for a quote on didn't need doing. Both the guys who came were polite, well-spoken and friendly. My drain was repaired quickly and cleanly, and as I said, cheaper than the original quote, which was already considerably cheaper than the quote I had from another company. I would highly recommend Ben and Flux Sewer Ltd.”

Richard Hallett

“Really professional and efficient service. The issue I had was a long term problem that the former owner of my property had employed numerous companies to address but never resolved. Flux diagnosed the issue, fixed the problem then spent time mapping and clearing out the damaged pipes so an ongoing maintenance routine can be implemented to manage an issue that will always exist, but can now be controlled by simple routine procedures. I am really happy with the outcome and will now use the Flux team again to help manage the rest of my complex Georgian water supply and drainage system.”

Neil Emery

“The service we received was excellent. The team were very efficient, friendly and informative. Left the site clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend Flux Sewer Ltd.”

“We had an issue with our drains backing up due to a reduction in the size of the soil pipe, as it's an older property. Ben came out and surveyed the pipe work with his camera, before returning and replacing a length of pipe and benching the manhole. He always arrived when he said he would. Very polite, worked quickly and efficiently, and the cost of the repair was reasonable. Very pleased.”

Think your pipe needs relining?

We'll confirm with a CCTV survey before recommending anything.

Common Questions About Drain Relining

Relining restores a longer section of pipe with a full new internal lining, while a patch repair targets a single, isolated defect. We'll recommend whichever is suitable based on what the CCTV survey shows.

Relining creates a new structural pipe wall inside the existing pipe, restoring its strength. We don't offer a specific warranty period, but it's a genuine structural repair, not a temporary fix.

The new lining does add a thin layer inside the existing pipe, but it's designed to maintain effective flow. We'll talk you through what to expect for your specific pipe during the quotation.

Most cracked or structurally weakened sections are suitable candidates, but we always confirm this with a CCTV survey first rather than assuming.

It depends on the length of the section being relined and how easy the access is, but because there's no excavation or ground reinstatement involved, relining is typically quicker to complete than a comparable dig-up repair covering the same length of pipe. We'll give you a clear timeframe as part of your free quotation, based on what the CCTV survey shows.
